Should Curry sit for rest of season?
Stephen Curry has suffered a bunch of left ankle sprains and he even had surgery last summer to fix the problem. He's had issues this season too and some think it might be best to shut the point guard down until 2012-13.
"He needs to consider sitting out, possibly for the rest of the season," Rick Barry tells the San Francisco Chronicle. "It takes a lot of time to allow those ligaments to heal properly. He's playing with an ankle that's not healed. That's the bottom line."
Curry has spent a lot time with Nike and team doctors to come up with the right shoe and gameplan in hopes of stopping the sprains.
"To me, you're talking about his future and a lot of money down the road," Barry said. "You're jeopardizing all of that by possibly having a recurring ankle injury. I'd do everything I possibly could to prevent that from happening."
Curry's deal with Nike is for three years with a player option for a fourth and he reportedly earns $250,000 annually.
deixem de assustar o cara porra , o próprio curry já falou que se recupera bem.An MRI revealed a sprained deltoid ligament in Stephen Curry's right foot, and he is questionable to play on Tuesday.
"It feels better. Rehab is going well," said Curry. "Just have to see how it responds the next couple of days. I'm confident I won't miss much time, if any." Given Curry's ankle issues the Warriors certainly ought to be cautious, but we should get a better feel for his status Monday afternoon.
Eu falei que viajou na trade, alias, nas duas ... era um puta timao e cagou.Curry out at least a month, may be shut down
Warriors owner Joe Lacob admitted the team is considering shutting down Stephen Curry (ankle), and mentioned "a month" as an informal timetable for his return.
"No one can really say for sure why this keeps occurring," said Lacob. "We’ll get another opinion if we have to. If it requires shutting him down, then we’ll do it. If it doesn’t, he’ll be back playing in a month ... we’re not going to risk further injury." This sounds like the death knell for Curry's fantasy season, though owners may want to wait until another medical opinion is registered. In light of Curry's chronic injuries, Klay Thompson, Nate Robinson and Dorell Wright all need to be owned.
